Are you serious?!? I thought the series was exeptionally boring until I finished the whole thing and realized what a fantastic potential second season it had! I can't say I throughly enjoyed it, but the second season will begin with internal conflicts (I mean seriously a UNITED WORLD sounds very scary) and an exciting tragic love story (between Saji and Louise)! I was giddy with excitement when I saw Louise as part of the new Celestial Being staff.

I truly hope Setsuna isn't dead! I thought they were gonna pull a Hamlet on us but now I have some hope that a few people are still alive. I do wish he'll continue his interaction with Marina Ismail.

But uh... what was up with the wtf moment when OBAMA came out as leader of the UN?!?!?! Well, not exactly Obama, since he's just some random black guy, but still.

Whoo~ This topic is really old but -

I don't really care if someone's negative or not. Positive people are nice *nodnod* they're cute, blah blah blah, but they're generally very uninteresting to me. If someone is feeling negative, there's a reason for that, and I like listening to stories like that. Real-life drama is cool. And, uh...in my opinion, life is pretty LONG to me right now...actually the longest thing before the afterlife, so I'd rather fill my days with some interesting stuff instead of floating on pink bubbles all the time.

f

Well that's just ridiculous. Thousands of people download anime everyday. If they treat that as a major crime, than what about the billions of people who download books, movies, and songs from places like Mininova?
Anime wouldn't have half as many fans in foreign lands if they weren't distributed free by subbers.

On another note... Perfect Girl Evolution is a popular anime?!?! Lol. I wouldn't say anything if it was the manga, but...

Kikuri (I know little-ojou's name now!): *giggle giggle giggle*

*suggestion*

One of you guys turn into a "friend" or something so you can find out more about the situation!

Tamami: Geez, what was that Mizura thinking again? Even though she's my half-sister, I can't get along with her at all!
Ah! Mother?

Mother: Tamami, are you back from work already?

Tamami: Yes... I'm a bit tired, so I'm going up to my room.

Mother: Alright then...

Father: Is Tamami back?

Mother: Yes, she is.

Father: I wonder where Mizura is. She's been going out every day for a while now.

Mother: (nastily) that girl has been party girl from the start. Don't waste your time thinking about her. Tamami is your daughter, what more could you want?

Father: Don't bother Mizura too much. She's my daughter too - and I know you've been treating her badly since she came to live with us.

f

Mizura: *glares* Tamami, what are you doing here?

Girl (Tamami): That's what I should ask. Why were you with another man again? Hitoru has been tricked by you, and you're just throwing him away?

Mizura: You shouldn't talk to me like that when you don't even know anything!

Tamami: What are you talking about? It's you that's ruining my life every chance you get!

f

Girl: *keeps the doll* What should I do? I mean, she DID make my fiance cheat on me.

f

Random girl: *walks out of a building* This is awful...what will I do?

*keeps fidgeting*

She's been so cruel to me all this time, that Mizura! This time, I'm going to get her!

*looks at far distance to another building*

There she is! I can't believe it! Another man is with her...it isn't even Hitoru but someone else!

f

Random Girl: *heavy panting* OMG should I contact Jigoku Shoujo...? Omg Omg I am so indecisive...

Lil Ojou: So annoying, those old people. *continues doing scissor excersises in the flower fields*

f

Little Ojou: *goes out to slaughter the pretty red flowers*

f

Lil-Ojou: *Steals Ai's grapes* Kyokyokyokyo~

f

Lil-Ojou: Does anyone know my name? Or do I have to go by Little-Ojou all the time?!

*bites Wanyuudo's arm*

I hate a whole bunch of characters since I've seen a lot of series, but some that stand out are -

Miaka from Fushigi Yugi. I didn't read the manga well enough because she pissed me off too much, but from what I've read, she's got a bishounen trailing after her because she's dumb, likes to eat, and is clumsy. Um, is this what makes every stupid heroine in an action-angst shoujo series? Because everyone seems to like her and I seriously don't get it.
Next is Cagalli from Gundam Seed Destiny. Athrun and Cagalli blah blah, omigod blah blah... what's so good about her? All she does is spurt politics stuff she doesn't even understand that much and goes around talking about something brainless all the time. And of course, blows off Athrun for some unknown super important reason and angsts about it.
Also from the GSD series, Lunamaria is a character I've disliked from the very start. I ended up getting used to Meyrin, but she stands around being annoying and suddenly lands the bomb by getting involved with Shinn! While just about the whole world was into the ShinnxStellar angst! Grrrr...
Oh yes, and Kagome from Inuyasha! She acts like such a nice girl and such, but she's so mean! She always makes Inuyasha eat dirt whenever she's PMSing! Not to mention she's really not helpful during battle scenes and is getting kidnapped all the time XP.

Watching it in Japanese with English subs for me ^0^
Watching it in any other language just really kills it for me, since I'm super-picky about my hearing preferences. In fact, if I can't find an episode in the exact audio preference that I want, I just don't watch it at all. And voice acting is very primary in places other than Japan. They don't consider it a major factor, when it could be the difference between a very serious mood or a humorous one (due to bad pronounciation). Of course, changing the names so that the VAs can actually PRONOUNCE them is totally unacceptable too - I mean, look how 4Kids is. EWW 4kids!

f

I am absolutely shocked by this...

Sexism is common. Sexism is normal, but not normal. It's just that sort of topic that people (excluding feminists) ignore, because we've just seen it way too much.
But what is really angering me is the fact that a guy suggests that we stay at home to protect ourselves from rape, and that a rape case is not the offender's fault in the way that they are lured by the "prey."
What is an ego? Someone tell me what it is, because I'm not understanding it. It's just self-pride. Many people have self-pride. Don't make it into such a huge deal because every male seems to have it. They might not. Who knows? Who cares? What does it have to do with an innocent or non innocent woman being stripped of her dignity, privacy, and free-will for the absence of a wrongdoing to her offender?
Temptation, pride, lust - all of this exist, and lies more noticibly in the male mind. But none of this is an excuse for rape, or any discriminatory act against any human being.

f

How about: NO! ?

Well, if a guy was a serious otaku it could be seriously creepy because most of them happen to have at least one hentai magazine but for me, I don't know what's so bad about being an otaku. If a guy doesn't like me being a shonen-ai or anime fan, too bad for him! I can't just give up a hobby that I've been having for the last half of my life.

Sometimes the problem in age rifts are that one person is too mature or the other is too immature. If you've talked to her and could really relate to her before you found out her age, I think that a really good thing. I think that in this case, even though age matters, asking her out would be a good choice.

f

I'm fifteen, and I'm sure some the people my age at my school might have gotten an abortion or two, but my biggest goal in life is to greet the news of a new baby with happiness, not with dread. When I watch shows where the girls cry because they end up getting a baby from a bad relationship, I feel so bad for them, because a child is something to cherish and meet with love and welcoming. I don't think I'll be ready to even take a chance before I'm married XP (I'm a goody-goody.)

f

Well, my best friend is:
-businesslike
-agressive
-smart
-talkative
-feminine
-competitive
-aware
-down-to-earth
-Bleach fanatic
-workaholic

Generally has the same qualities as me, except I'm a Naruto fanatic, not Bleach. And I'm thinking we'll probably be friends after five years. Whenever I call for a quick question for homework we end up talking for over an hour about what types of people pissed us off.

f

At very rare times, yes, but usually, it's freaky, unnatural, and sometimes, involving ewwish geeky guys who can't pay for a prostitute.

f

Certainly looks and personality is hard to decide, but to each his or her own opinions! Your friend might be attracted to someone who thinks is really good looking, but you might completely disagree.
While both features must be present for almost all beginnings of a relationship, looks can't convince me to ignore the personality, while personality would have a chance in making up for looks.

f

Once this really hippy totally unique girl asked me "why do you care about what someone else thinks?"
Well, I care because being an acceptive person means adapting to cultures and views of your environment and not just completely defiant, blaming your stubborness saying "I shouldn't have to change myself for others."
If the change is beneficial or could cause somewhat good results, go for it. But before you change or don't change anything, make sure to think of where the comment's coming from, and why the person might say that. When I was younger I had a girl who hated my guts and she would tell me how ugly and fat I was every time she saw my face. Well let me tell you that I wasn't even overweight for my height! And she had more fat than me, as far as I could see. Besides, she was saying that to hurt me, not to cause me to change for the good of others or myself.
