Rosegirl18's Honey & Clover Tv Review
Rated:
The true genius within Honey & Clover would be the way it is presented. I found myself to be very impressed with the direction, as no episode is boring, despite the simple plot.
A series such as Honey & Clover could have very easily turned into a boring drone of an anime, but the subtle bursts of humor as well as the realistic evolution of the characters make Honey & Clover a very enjoyable watch.
I recommend this series for its drama and purity. Its dialogue will pierce your heart by the way it delves into the very core of growing up and the emotions that surround it.

Rosegirl18's Princess Tutu Tv Review
Rated:
Some anime start out good, and end badly. Some anime start badly, and become amazing.
Princess Tutu is neither. It's wonderful from the very beginning - and wonderful at the very end. The characters are
amazing, the plot is amazing, the art is amazing, the sound is amazing.
Except for the very small faults that I have mentioned above, it is an unbelievably fantastic, enjoyable anime. It's not
for kids. It's for people who know how to think, to be intrigued by the countless relationships that each character
develops with each other.
It is a lovely medly of music, dance, and art. What else can I say? While I watched this, I laughed, cried, screamed,
and got mad. I appplauded the director for the most multi-level and well-wrapped ending I have ever seen for an anime.

Rosegirl18's Kanon Tv Review
Rated:
Kanon was one of my most favorite series, and would have been my number one this season, if it hadn't been for Code Geass. The story induced so much emotion and cheeriness, I couldn't help but write a review for it. Each past helped me know each character better, and allowed me to see character developements that I couldn't possibly have seen in even the best of animes.
The 24-episode set up helped the story immensely, and I was grateful that Kyoto Animation used up the episodes to the fullest, refraining from any recaps or lengthy flashbacks. The company also seemed to use a storyboard efficiently, and didn't laze off on any episode. The story was well-written, and didn't get confusing (in the wrong way), even during the climax.

Rosegirl18's Ouran High School Host Club Tv Review
Rated:
Ouran High School Host club has a better flow than most of the series that are its size.
All throughout it is entertaining, funny, and you can't get bored of it. The character stories don't veer off from the
ongoing plot, and it blends well into the series instead of sticking out and gathering more than necessary attention.
Somehow, the seemingly pointless plot of Ouran turns into a great anime series with a surprising amount of in-depth
relationships that are not romantic. The characters are able to maintain their personalities even with plot twists and
dramatic incidents - and also throughout their changing relationships.
The change of course from the manga at times was good, and much better than most of the fillers that any other anime demonstrated.

Rosegirl18's Kare Kano Tv Review
Rated:
I loved Kare Kano, I really did.
I got addicted to the sweet but not sickly fluffy romance of Arima and Yukino, but I was so unhappy with its setup. I don't know if the ending was planned to be that way, or if those recap episodes were meant to exist, but I was just devastated as soon as the stick figures came out.
I didn't even watch the recaps.
Kare Kano had everything that a short anime series needed - a ready fanbase from the original manga, dynamic characters, captivating plot twists and a great plot. The anime adaption used so little of that.
Its setup was sloppy, the planning was less than average, and the ending is probably the worst of anime history. What are left now are only 'what if's.

Rosegirl18's Count Cain Manga Review
Rated:
For the presentation of this manga, I owuld have to repeat what I've been saying for the whole review - the hiatus of
Count Cain makes a huge effect on how successful it could of been. The plot gap expands for over a decade, and there are
some important information in the original series that make the new series baffling and hard to grasp. The real and
definite concept is never really clear, and although Godchild is throughly enjoyable and has a solid ending, it doesn't
have a good start, nor much of a good backstory to most of the characters' actions.
Count Cain has good stories to tell, but endless problems surface before the real good parts of the manga, so the
presentation, in this case, is conflict-ridden.

Rosegirl18's This Ugly Yet Beautiful World Tv Review
Rated:
Presentation is one aspect that Gainax continuously fails at, yet in this case, I felt it did quite well in carrying out Kono Minikuku mo Utsukushii Sekai's project. The characters are all introduced well, as I have mentioned before, and the romance and action scenes collaborate to keep from loss of balance. Surprisingly, the dark themes are introduced right from the first episode, which gives it space to come in smoothly when the plot is thickening.
I also found that the climax seemed to come at exactly the right time, although I felt that the producers lingered a bit too much on Hikari's "nice side" finding the good things of the world.

Rosegirl18's Samurai Champloo Tv Review
Rated:
Everyone comments on how crazy this anime is, and Samurai Champloo's greatest point is just that. With its unbelievable
flow, the anime is able to focus on the main point of the show to find the sunflower samurai, yet create distractions
within the show that makes it so fun. Every episode is an adventure, and the unique aspects make it something
unforgettable. Within its action-packed body, Samurai Champloo gives themes of friendship, loyalty, love, and pain.
One flaw that I found was of the ending of some inner stories, where new important characters came out. Some were hardly
relevant to the main theme, and sometimes ended abruptly, like there was no time left in the episode to make a proper
closure.

Rosegirl18's School Rumble Tv Review
Rated:
What I just loved about School Rumble was that the story was so vague (he likes her, she likes another guy) so that it
allowed space for randomly funny events. The humor in School Rumble is, at times, very random, and the producers are
able to make it work. Other than the comedy, the series are able to express teenage frustration at love that seems to go
nowhere, and make it into exaggerated acts that start in comedy, and end in comedy.
The anime is also able to touch upon warm themes, of friendship and loyalty, as well as kindness and the willingness to
help. School Rumble isn't the best anime I have seen, but certainly amongst my most favorite ones. Never will it let you
be sad or down, and you will always find yourself loving the characters.

Rosegirl18's Jigoku Shoujo Tv Review
Rated:
Strangely enough, Jigoku Shoujo happens to be one of my most favoite anime series. In its short form of 26 episodes, it is able to hold so much anguish and human hatred. If Jigoku Shoujo had to have a specific main flaw, I would say that the flaw would be the series itself, but Jigoku Shoujo makes things possible. This series didn't have bishounen, bishoujo, fanservice, or romance, or even humor. Some inner stories are so disturbing that you want to stop watching it. But the one thing that pulled me towards it was its realism. It is true that it is impossible for a website like Jigoku Tsushin to exist. But while I was watching these suffering people, I realized how true and possible these situations and people were, and that if I were in their shoes, I would have done the same thing.
